So, thankfully with this post I am up to date with my advent calendars even though I am feeling like I should sleep all the time. I hope you all feel better than I do at the moment and like these posts.
So, here are my day 18 goodies:
For me this an infinitely special Memebox.
Mid September I started to speak on Makeuptalk about wanting a dirty girl box, the name originating from watching way too much Frasier growing up... thanks mom.
I wanted a box where you could get dirty before you get clean.
I then went on to email them to request a box with the Dirty girl name and actually naming a product that appeared in this box.
It could all be a coincidence that this box appeared for purchase a few weeks after the email and Makeuptalk discussion or it may be due to that.
I'll never know but either way this is a great box and I will never know either way.
Welcome to the dirty gal box.
Today's advent calendar picks are a bit meh for me today but all are useful to me, but one, and I like opening the calendars as it is exciting and I knew that eventually I would get a meh day. Unfortunately it is going to be that day today.
It has taken me a very long time to review this box mainly because it has taken me a long time to simmer down since I received this thumbs up bloggers box.
In September some bloggers, myself included, received a survey from Memebox asking about our favourite products.
This box was supposed to constructed from that and we all looked forward to it but when we received this we received what seems like a 'ignore the bloggers, put in leftovers box'.
The main thing that points to that is that some of these products were only in the memeboxes after the survey was filled in and sent back. Not really a smart move on memeboxes part.
So, I bring to you the 'thumbs down psychic bloggers memebox'.
I am a bit late to put my code this month but my code to get $5 off $30 (not including p and p) is V6FAQ0 and if you use my link here you also get additional money off at $100 ($5) and $100 ($10 instead of $5)
Thankyou for reading.
I hope you forgive me for being a little behind but we spent today and yesterday swapping two bedrooms in our house so Edward could get a big boy bedroom.
So I had no internet on my company for two days so now I am catching up.
And here I bring you yesterday's advent calendars.
Another day another box but this time I won't get the rage I got with Glossybox as this one has really pleased me with fair size samples and full sized products from luxe brands and a full sized exclusive coin purse.
Memebox globals generally are the creme de la creme of the memeboxes.
So I was quite surprised to receive a global which was more like a leftovers box than a really good global like most of the past ones were.
For me, these are the showcase memeboxes and were actually the first on the market so this is even more disappointing than if it was a themed box.
A better day than yesterday today and today other than the tea light surprising me a little, as it wasn't pink or white or red, all the items are fab and huge size samples for the formats that they are and I am really happy.
I have to admit that when my box arrived I saw the outer box and thought it was a beautiful box but as soon as I opened it I saw the contents and that was where the festive feelings ended.
How this is this the Christmas box I have no idea but to be honest as soon as I saw the contents I cancelled my subscription.
I knew that this box bundle was a risk but despite them being only $19 each I was optimistic and I certainly never expected the bundle to contain a box which contained four low ticket items and that the scent boxes would blow this box out of the water.
But I'll show you why I am so irritated by showing you what I received.
Day 6 and we are back to a meh day and tbh I am really starting to get irritated that the candles have no names on the bottom of them due to the reasoning that if I loved one and wanted to order one online it would be impossible.
But back to the calendar and away with the grumpiness.
Memebox unboxing posts are a bit behind so I am spending the next week catching up, well hopefully, on my older boxes and although these will be unboxings they will at least give you idea of what was in the boxes... just incase they relaese more..... although at the moment the releses are alow and sparse.
But back to the box.
This is the Miracle Mask box, although I am not sure where the miracle is.
I have quite a few sheets masks stashed so when Genie from Geniesfavouriteproducts, who I know from MUT, suggested that we do a #maskgeniechallenge which involves using 5 masks in 10 days I was completely on board with that suggestion.
When I think of skin elixirs I think of serums and essences and ampoules so what I received in this box was surprising and when I saw the spoilers I wasn't too happy but having it here I quite like it.
This box had five items in it that ranged from twenty to forty four dollars and there was no filler products in here so that it is good.
Also all of them but one seem to show English ingredients either partially or in their entirety which is great as I am trying to find products that are not going to dry my skin out.
As part of my latest in beauty Dream box II box I received the Double Buff exfoliator.
I have to admit that I wasn't sure what I would think as I have never used an exfoliator which was purely an exfoliator before, my Soap & Glory cleanser had exfoliating beads in it, so I was wondering whether this would be too rough on my skin.
I seem to be bouncing back and forth between old and new Memeboxes to review and today I will review one that I only received a few hours ago and this is the fall/winter natural make up which arrived with my Skincare Elixir box.
Memebox seem to be having an issue getting rid of the cutiepie marzia 2 boxes so have taken to several routes to get rid of the extra stock, why they ever thought getting 5k boxes in the first place is beyond me but that isn't relevant to discuss here.
But, back to topic, they decided to sell off the Tony Moly Red Appletox honey cream apples for $5 and I really couldn't resist and purchased two as they are supposed to be good for dry skin.
So I bought a couple alongside a couple of makeup items and a Benton soothing mist for $30 and also got free shipping.
But back to my thoughts on the Tonymoly Red Appletox Honey Cream.
I like a good deal and last year Boots had great makeup deals just before Christmas and yesterday I noticed that the deal had started again for this year.
This year if you spend £15 on maxfactor products you get the gift box for free.
So I leapt on the deal as I wanted the Maxfactor deal and tomorrow I might go look at the others.
But today I want to show you which Maxfactor products I bought and what I got free with those products.
I love my inlaws so much as they will often let me have my Christmas presents early if I want to order something and that was what happened this year.
(I d lve them for other reasons too, don't worry.)
When Memebox was still releasing boxes a month or so ago I managed to order this box and three other boxes as my present and to be honest I was torn between this and another box but as there was a similar box which was similar to this which was good I decided on this box.
I have to admit I think I ordered at the right time since they suddenly stopped releasing boxes and since then I have become so jaded by boxes I have received since then and also spoilers of other boxes that I am glad I never purchased.
But, anyway, less rambling and back to unboxing the City Girl box.
I've been quite lucky with the birchbloggers uk program and these are the second items that I have been sent free for review.
The first items were the LAQA & Co lip lubes and this time we went into skincare products to try and I received two items from the Meaningful Beauty which Cindy Crawford has collaborated on with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh.
Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh is a french anti ageing specialist and he has collaborated with Cindy Crawford for ten years in order to create skincare to help women get younger fresher skin than they ever thought possible.
Last year I did an advent calendar opening on this blog and this year I have decided to repeat but on a bigger scale.
Last year I bought the Ciate one and the youbeauty one and this year their are four other ones and although I didn't get Ciate I did get youbeautydiscovery again, and this years calendars are as listed below:
Last month's Birchbox was pretty bad for me and I was happy that this month seemed to compensate for last month.
I have to admit that I thought that last month was my last of my six month but this one was and like last time just before my subscription endedmy last box has convinced me to take another six months on my sub.
It really is a great box and has three full sized items and I will use them all as well as the other sample sized items that I received.
Lovelula is a box that I have had for a while now and is one that I have on a monthly sub so it must be good as normally if one has a particularly bad box I am inclined to cancel so this one being still active is a good sign.
Although last month's box wasn't my favourite this one is back to their great standard and has four great sized products and a sample and I am really happy.
Normally this is a box which excites me but this month it is rather meh and to be honest the choices were a big sparse for me and in the end it was hard to choose as I wasn't sure if I wanted any but in the end I at least managed to choose two products that I will use but these two I will.
Add to that not amazing extras and I am not amazingly wowed and think this is fighting out with January for my worst box by youbeautydiscovery.
The last few months of Degustabox have been a bit on the fritz and for me it had been an easy decision to cancel in December however this box has very much changed my mind and I have decided to get another six months when it comes up for redemption in December.
Degustabox is a uk box which contains grocery store food products and costs £12.99 a month or £11.99 if you buy six months.
This one is the november box and contains thirteen items an extra and a voucher.
Sometimes there are boxes I really enjoy and sometimes there are ones I forget about and this box is unique in that I like the contents but have still managed to forget about it.... gotta agree that isn't too smart of me but here is my review.
I am usually totally in love with my birchboxes and looking at other people's contents I usually feel no jealousy but this month both the contents as well as the comparison with other people's boxes has left me cold.
Add to that this is my lost box of a six month sub it was wrong time to have a dud box that the rest of my other subs have kicked into submission.
The disparity in the boxes every month has finally upset me and not sure I will sign up again without a good deal.
But back to this month's box.
This was a collaboration with CoppaFeel which is a breast cancer charity.
Memebox contacted me at the end of the last month and asked me if I wanted to be 'collaborate' with them which meant they would send me free boxes and this is the first one I got sent was this box, which is the all about eyes box.
(I have included swatches of these products at the bottom of the post)
The global 14 box from memebox really blew my socks off so I was really looking forward to my global 15.
Although it wasn't as wow as last month's box and didn't have any sheet masks it adds to the proof that if you ever want to try out memebox you can't really go wrong with the global boxes.
Even if you do have to wait for a while for them to be shipped.
When I saw that some of the older boxes had restocked I really couldn't resist this box that first sold a long while ago.
This was the first snail box and having not received a snail box before I couldn't resist buying this, although I only knew what was in this box after purchasing it and looking at other people's blogposts.
But this is a great box with four full sized items and two sheets masks.
Another beauty round up and this one is for September.
This was my lovelula September box and these are fab. Everyone gets the same and it costs £12.50 a month and is always well worth it.
This is my youbeautybox and it wasn't my favourite ever box. I couldn't use one extra and the others were meh but at least the October choices were better.
This is £6.95 a month all in and you always get the value even on off months.
This is my wantable box for September and it was really fab and I loved everything I got and especially the four shade blusher palette.
This costs $50.20 to the uk and is cheaper for america and canada and other places but well worth the money.
My next one will be my November box.
I have cancelled my glossybox and October box will be my last box but this box was a good one with mainly skincare which suits me well but out of this and Birchbox month on month I much prefer Birchbox.
September also saw me receiving my first 'My little box' and I am love with it. I am still using the laptop sleeve to carry around my ipad and blogger information.
My birchbox was great again this month too and gonna resub when my prepaid sub is up for redeemption.
There are my september boxes. Missing from these is the lipmonthly box which I only reviewed on youtube as it was meh, my memebox as it hasn't arrived yet, as it only shipped on the 24th, and my love me beauty because it hasn't arrived yet because they messed up my box then messed me around all month.
Even when it arrives I might not review as I don't want to rant at you.
My degustaboxes for the last few months have been rather lack lustre and I was not too sure whether there was too much excitement in this box as the last few have lacked true value but thankfully this one is a little better.
I am still not sure if I will stay with them after this prepaid sub ends but I will have to look closely at what I am receiving in the next few boxes to decide whether to carry on or not.
The thumbs up box was supposed to be the most asked for products but to be honest I think that there is no way that these are them and this is purely a box full of products they had excess of and wanted to put in a box.
It may sound cynical but looking at them I can't understand why I would carry on buying if this was the best of Korean beauty.
This month's lovelula was dedicated to organic products due to Organic week at the beginning of September and in a way I was a little concerned that the price points of the organic products.
I was worried that it would mean we ended up with tiny samples but thankfully this wasn't the case and once again Love Lula has managed to curate an amazing beauty box.
Sometimes a box comes along that wows me completely when I first get it and this month I received this box that was so wow that I was stunned and I am still over the moon with all that camein this box.
This is my 'my little parisienne box' and I am keeping everything as I am in love.
The omg one box disappointed a bit so in a way I was dreading this box and looking forward to cute 2 but in all reality this box was really good even if it wasn't omg enough and I found I was lukewarm on cute.
I have fallen behind again as I have been ill but I hope to catch up on reviews today and tomorrow and the first review that I am bringing you is my Birchbox for this month that rocked for me for so many reasons this month.
For me this truly was a great box even if I didn't get a beauty blender as I had already received one from them.
But even without this is a great box with a happy days theme.
Everyone thought that the first cute wishlist was amazing and so did I. It was full of cute packaging and a large selection of products.
Sadly this one isn't so cute and to be honest I was debating cancelling number three but have decided to keep up but not order four when it is released.
This box cost $23 plus $6.99 p and p.
I bought this box to use a code and some coupons as well as an automatic discount when I bought the princess boxes so this was a box where it almost paid for itself or did pay for itself, can't remeber which.
I didnt exactly have high hopes so it is a shock how much I actually love this box and how great the contents are, especially as I will use all the items in here.
When I initially saw the tea box I didn't buy it and I only ended up buying this bundle as I really fancied the anti ageing 3 box and I had a few points to use so I decided to grab this bundle and I am glad I did.
A few weeks ago I had some points so decided to buy one of the bundles that hadn't shifted with it as nothing really appealed to me in the new boxes so I chose to buy this and tea cosmetics as I like tea as it is good as an anti oxidant and anti ageing 1 and 2 were very good.
I am not feeling 100% so have I fallen a little behind on my blogposts so this is actually a review of last months Horrorblock.
This was one of the last boxes I received of my August boxes and was a good box.
This is a Canadian box and cost $32.49 American delivered to the uk. More info can be found Here
I have got a bit far behind so I need to catch up and finish off the August boxes and this box was one of the last boxes I received in August and was my degustabox.
I had a bit of a nightmare with my July box and would have cancelled after that box but as I am on a six month sub I couldn't and I am glad about that as box was okay and seven of the ten products were consumed and enjoyed pretty quickly which makes it a great box, especially as I am now desperately searching for two of those.
I really loved my August box that marked my return back to Wantable so when the September boxes were released late August I ordered straight away and was really over the moon when I received this box. It is my expensive box at just under thirty pounds all in, including postage, packing and all taxes, but the box is well worth it and one of my favourites.
This month is youbeauty discovery's 1st birthday and I was looking forward to this months selection and thought that it would be amazing but sadly it wasn't amazing and whereas some months I find it hard to chose it wasn't too hard this month and even my choices are a little meh to me.
Add to this that I can't use one extra and the other extra is a duplicate of an item I got from a latest in beauty box it isn't the greatest box for me.
The last scent box I received in my scentbox bundle is good value for money but is another not too exciting box. Having got them with points I am happy enough but I know for certain I won't be using one product although I think the other three products make up for it.
I really enjoyed the first scent boxes so when these were offered I immediately purchased them as I also had points so all in all these three boxes cost me about five dollars (three pounds uk approx) including postage so either way I knew I was going to be happy but tbh I quite like these boxes and for the price of the bundle, under thirty pounds for the three boxes, even without the discount they were quite good value.
My scentboxes arrived last week and after a really hectic week I have finally got the time to sit down and finally write up my reviews. These were rather inexpensive boxes for me as they cost just under $5 for me for the set of three.
All in all these were great boxes and this one is my favourite with five full sized items and in this box I will use everything.
I often find that the subscription boxes can get rather overwhelming if you order a lot and I probably have blog readers and you tubers viewers that feel the same so I have been doing these round up posts to show you all my August boxes.
I hope you enjoy it as much I enjoy writing it and looking back at what I received.
I received my lipmonthly in the last few days of August and although it takes a long time to arrive from Canada it was well worth the wait this month as I received 4 nice full sized products as well as a full sized extra.
I have signed up for wantable again to see if the service will please me more this time.
I had a bit of a nightmare last time as they insisted a brown bronzer was a blusher and a brown lipstick was a coral.
It wasn't and I cancelled back then but after cancelling some other boxes I decided to try this out again.
So this is my August box and I have ordered a September box to see what it is like now.
I have quite a lot of restrictions in this box and thankfully their customisation of boxes through a survey pleases me as I won't be receiving items I can't use from them such as eyeliners and bronzers thanks to ther survey where you can tell them you dislike something so you won't receive it.
But anyway, back to my box and what I received in my first box back with them.
I love all things cute and cuddly so I was really looking forward to receiving this box, especially as this box only cost just under £18 and was going to be full of cute korean beauty products.
I wasn't disappointed when it arrived and have since ordered the second and third versions of this box.
Okay, so after managing to find my computer files after a windows update (don't ask, I thought I had lost all my files) I am back with reviews and first I am going to do the two nerdblock juniors from this month.
Sadly these were very similar this month with only two items different this month, thankly I got different variations so it isn't too bad but I have to admit they are a both meh and I will show you why.
So, another review today and this one is the Memebox Special #20 Superfood.
I got this in a bundle with my traveller's beauty kit box and although the travellers didn't impress this box did.
This box cost $23 and £6.99 postage and is well worth it with 5 large full sized items and one mask.
My Nerdblocks arrived this week and this is my Nerdblock Classic box for August 2014. It is an interesting box and the best of the nerdblocks so far, although I am still waiting for the Nerd Horror that ships later than the other three.
I hve been eyeing this box up for a while and when they sent me a code to get ten percent off I definitely couldn't resist, especially as I have wanted to try the blusher for a while and the lipstick in this box, so I bought it.
Latest in beauty is not really strictly a subscription box as the boxes have themes and you buy the ones that you are interested in. There are no minimum terms and the contents are always revealed before you buy so you know what you are getting.
The glamour boxes are bought out multiple times in the year and have a good selection of beauty products. This one is the one released about a month ago and is still in stock as I type this and according to the card this has products worth £86.15 in it for the £16.95 price tag.
I have fallen a little behind on my blogposts recently but hopefully today I can catch up and this will be the first blogpost of a few today.
Anyway, this is my Memebox special #19 cleansing kit and if you are a cleansing nut like I am you will love this as much as I love it. It has six full sized items and looks great, especially as it only cost $23 and $6.99 postage.
The august edition of the love me beauty came this week and although I wasn't too enthusiastic when seeing the menu or when I received it I realised that I actually quite like it. I will use all but one product and that is a great thing as sometimes products may be more in number but less in use.
The birchboxes have been so good the last few months that I was looking forward to it this month and once again I was looking forward to this months and once again I was not disappointed by the items in my Birchbox.
I ordered this box after seeing loads of other people's boxes and deciding to buy it too. I particularly wanted the sleep pack but all the items in this are full sized and huge, unlike the pomegranate, despite this being a special and pomegranate being a superbox.
My lovelula box August was collected from the post office on Friday and I was really looking forward to receiving this box as the last few have been really good and when I saw this one I was not disappointed.
When the youbeautydiscovery menu dropped into my email this month I was completely over the moon.
I found last months selection didn't really appeal but this months was amazing and it was hard to pick. I am always amazed you get so much for your £6.95 and this month had items that were all worth a good amount so it was a bargain.
So, this is my last box of the month. I cancelled Love me beauty because they had gone from high end to high street and to be honest when I saw their July box it was better and I wanted the products but I was waiting for a good deal but when they offered me three boxes for £27 I thought why not.
So this is the first of my three boxes and at the end of these I will assess again.
But this is my first box of the three and I have ordered my August box which is a little meh with mostly makeup and mostly eye makeup.
Memebox contacted me yesterday to do a giveaway for my readers and youtube viewers. They asked me to run a contest to select three winners and each will received one free box. For prizes I have been given:
2 x Memebox Superbox #31 Herbal Cosmetics (2 winners will win one of these)
1 x Dermocosmetics 2 Box (my third winner will win this)
So here is my contest below and the rules.
First you must signed up on memebox on their website here in order to enter this competition.

My Memebox global number thirteen arrived late last month and was second to last of my July boxes.
The global boxes are the closest thing to a monthly box that Memebox do as they come out on the 24th of the month every month and so far this is upto January.
In my opinion these and the luckyboxes are probably the best place for new members of Memebox start if you have no issues or preferences and were where I started as at the time these were the only boxes sold by Memebox.
But back to the box that was shipped on the 24th July. This is my global #13.
Okay so this week started out really well, better than the whole week last week, as I received the LAQA & Co lip lube pencils that I won in a #birchbloggersUK competition at the end of last week.
I was lucky enough to receive two full sized products and I have done two very basic looks with these products.
I have to admit I rarely wear more than a dash of lipstick and mascara and with a heatwave and limited sight I have composed two looks that are easy to wear and easy to do, even if you have limited sight like I do.
But back to the beautiful lip products that are really pleasing this lip product obsessive.
My Herbal Cosmetics memebox arrived a while ago and I am sorry about the delays in my reviews the last few weeks but hopefully I will get back on track.
Anyway, here is my review for my Herbal Cosmetics box that I love love love.
But why did I love it so much and what did I receive?
